Our Story!
Carmine's Italian Restaurant opened in the fall of 2009 in the Village Plaza shopping center on Jefferson Boulevard, in Smithsburg, MD. Carmine's is a family owned and operated restaurant offering fine Italian cuisine as well as pizzas, subs, and wraps.

Chef Carmine Schiano Moriello came to the U.S. from Naples in 1983 and served as chef in restaurants around Maryland and New Jersey before deciding to open his own restaurant in his home town of Smithsburg. Prior to opening Carmine's, Schiano Moriello was Head Chef at the popular Al Pomodoro restaurant in Hagerstown, MD.
Carmine's Italian Restaurant offers a full menu of traditional Neopolitan fare such as Shrimp Marinara and Chicken Marsala, and an expanding variety of gourmet pizzas and subs. We offer lunch and dinner specials, as well as the Early Bird Special from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm weeknights and weekend specials Friday through Sunday. Reservations and carry-out orders may be placed at 301-824-3477.
